Directory not found

Symptom

A repository in your Repository List shows a yellow Missing badge. You can’t open it.

Cause

The directory Cate has on record no longer exists at the expected path. The folder was moved, renamed, or deleted since you last opened it.

Fix

Move it back

If you moved the directory, move it back to the path Cate expects. The path is shown in the repository list entry. Once the directory exists at that path again, the Missing badge disappears and you can open the repository normally.

Re-add at the new location

If the directory is intentionally at a new location:

1. Remove the missing repository entry from the list
2. Click Open Repository and select the directory at its new path
3. Cate recognizes the existing .cate/ configuration and opens it without re-running setup
